The National Integrated Drought Information System updates the Colorado River Basin drought status every Thursday with current data from the previous Tuesday.
Today’s update reflects a negligible reduction for the total area in drought from the previous week at 35.17%, down from 35.52% the previous week. Severe, Extreme, and Exceptional Drought areas in the basin remained the same with a 0.35% shift from Moderate Drought to Abnormally Dry marking the only improvements in the area.
